About Physics Performance Lab

Meet the tutor behind Physics Performance Lab

A practising engineer's mindset. One goal: turn A-Level Physics from a source of stress into a subject your child can approach with confidence.

Teaching meets engineering

Why we exist

Closing the gap between knowing Physics and earning the marks

Physics Performance Lab was founded by Fariz Siddiqui, a UK-qualified Physics teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), an MSc in Mechanical Engineering, and over 15 years of tutoring experience across AQA, Edexcel, OCR A and OCR B.

After years of teaching in classrooms and one-to-one settings, one pattern kept repeating: students were not failing because they did not understand Physics. They were losing marks because nobody had shown them, precisely, how exam boards award marks.

Physics Performance Lab was built to close that gap by combining classroom-qualified teaching with an engineer's habit of measuring what is actually working, rather than relying on hours logged or reassurance alone.

Teaching philosophy

A-Level Physics rewards precision, not just understanding

Two students can know the same content and walk out with a two-grade difference, because one has been trained in exam technique and the other has not. Our approach treats technique as a teachable skill, not a personality trait.

The BRIDGE™ Framework diagnoses exactly where marks are lost, then closes that gap with the rigour of an engineering process: baseline, plan, execute, measure and adjust.
